Hi @chele67 when appealing a decision each benefit is different. What happens to your payments can also depend on your circumstances, which is why it's not easy for us to say what will or won't happen.

I'd encourage you to contact the DWP to find out what might happen to your benefits when you appeal the decision, you can use the PIP Enquiry Line:

    PIP enquiry line
    Telephone: 0800 121 4433
    Textphone: 0800 121 4493
Relay UK (if you cannot hear or speak on the phone): 18001 then 0800 121 4433
British Sign Language (BSL) video relay service if you’re on a computer - find out how to use the service on mobile or tablet
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
    Find out about call charges

Let us know how things are going when you can, and remember, with an MR, your PIP award might go up, it might stay the same, or it might go down too.

it was on a citizens advice forum...'Will I get PIP during my reconsideration and appeal? You will not usually get any payments during a reconsideration and appeal of a PIP decision.'

Can you post a link so I can read it. Your existing award will definitely continue to be paid while your MR is pending (or later appeal to tribunal if applicable).

I cannot think of any DWP benefits that would be stopped during an MR.

(Payment of benefits maybe suspended if there are changes of circumstances requiring benefit entitlement to be recalculated.)

I’m not aware of CA having a forum.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
