Hi everyone. hokays I finally got my text this morning to say I've been awarded.
I found an earlier email thread that showed the 0800 number to call to find out what level award I've been given.
I was given a figure from the automated thingy, and was surprised as it matched what I thought I was entitled to - but I noticed on the discussion I found that it can be wrong until a certain timeframe.
I tried to stay on hold for a human but keep being cut off.
Does anyone have any idea if the message is correct once the text has come out, or shall I just try and call again?
thank you x

Hi Poppy
Thank you - I managed to get through & I've been very fortunate the automated amount was correct.
10 weeks from beginning to end - I think I've been very lucky with the timescale, and a fair assessor & case manager.
Good luck to everyone one on here who reads this - it's really not all doom and gloom.
Reading all the discussions on here has been brilliant. They're so helpful, and helped keep my stress levels down, I was prepared and ready to go all the way to a tribunal.
I avoided claiming PIP for 20 years - I genuinely wish I'd claimed before.
Thank you x

@nb73 Congratulations on your award! I'm glad to hear toy managed to get through and find out all the details too. I'm so glad to hear your stress levels are down.
I hope you stick around. Would love to see you join us in Coffee Lounge. It's where we play games, have debates and just get to know each other0 -
@Hannah_Scope hi - yes i will if that's ok? I really understand just how nerve wracking and stomach churning it is to deal with PIP claims, so if I can help one person cope it'll be worth it.
again - you guys have helped my mental health massively through all this.
It's a shame we only really see the bad side of claims in general. Sometimes you can be fortunate and have sensible outcomes.

Of course it is!
That'll be lovely! Do you have any hobbies? I could suggest some threads?
It is a shame, and it's such a shame that common sense isn't applied either. A lot of people just need the extra cover of medications or medical equipment outside of prescriptions.0
