We started our UC claim on 4th March. I put my fit note in on 17th March (backdated to 4th march). I was awarded LCWRA on 24th May. The letter stated that I would start receiving the extra payment after 3 months, but my statement says I won't received it in July 10th payment. Am I wrong in thinking that I should have it in this payment? It's really confusing. I messaged through the journal and the UC lady said it will be after August?! Thank you

When you started your claim on 4th March if you reported your health condition at the same time, you then have 7 days to report a fit note because it's self cert for those 7 dats. As your fit note was reported on day 11 after your claim they haven't accepted that. They don't usually accept a back dated fit note, although it was accepted when you reported it, it doesn't count when working out your waiting period. For this reason your waiting period is April to July.. LCWRA element start from assessment period 4th July to 3rd August and first payment will be 10th August. No LCWRA element is owed.0

I'm sorry, I meant to put the 7th March that I declared my fit note not 17th 😊0

Then your first payment should be 10th July. Please note that i can only give advice based on the information you give.Put a message on your journal under the payment section and tell them the LCWRA element isn't included in your statement this month.I'm assuming there were no gaps in your fit notes?0
