Hi I took the dwp to court as they placed me in the lcw group and felt for my medical needs I needed lcwra. I won my case. My first fit note was July 2021. I was just wondering when the back payment will go in and will I have to wait the three months for my first payment of lcwra even though I was already in the lcw group. The tribunal was 2 days ago. Thanks

The 3 month waiting period will apply from when you first reported your health condition/sent your first fit note. Without knowing the exact date of this and what date you usually receive your payment each month it's impossible to advise. With limited information given your first payment will be either Nov or Dec 2021. It can take up to 8 weeks to pay what is owed and put your award into payment.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

@sarah8127 Congratulations on winning your case!
I bet you feel so relieved!
I suspect you'll get a letter detailing the back payment. Did they say anything about notification of everything at tribunal?Hannah - She / Her

That means your waiting period is Aug to Nov.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 6th Nov to 5th Dec and first payment would be 12 Dec 2021. Money owed will be paid separately to your usual monthly money when they pay it.They will recalculate your past statements to work out how much is owed. Once this is done the new ones will replace your exisiting ones. If you want to keep copies of your current ones you should do that now.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please.
