Hi can someone tell me why at the tribunal appeal for pip they wanted to know if I was getting lcwra? I didn't think pip was affected by other benefits, and when I answered with I did they changed the subject so I couldn't explain that it got transferred to my partner so I could get carers element with uc.  Also when asked about face ro face interaction, I explained I don't go out bar dr hospital as I have panic attacks/anxiety and have to rush home they put I need prompting on their decision which is untrue they also asked due to an unknown condition where I bleed and bruise profusely on my hands and arms so cooking has to be mainly prepared meals they said I could use plastic cutlery, there was no questions regarding my depression lack of sleep due to my brachoradial pruritus hence I am tired all the time, they also asked how did I know how far I can walk till my spondylosis & sciatica starts hurting as they were checking on Google maps to measure the distance to the bus stop near my bungalow? Is it just me or is there something wrong here???

I’m unsure of an answer but I saw you have not had a message back so I hope by me messaging it’ll be seen. Good luck with it all

Hi thank you for asking it was not good. I need help as to what I do next I got the hearing recording & the statement of reasons for not giving me pip. However there are discrepancies on there statement which does not tally with the recoding eg they put on the statement that I take paracetamol where on the recording I told them I take co codermol, also I told them my partner does not know I am on antidepressants but because he prompts me to take my meds they assumed he knows what meds I take so they insinuated I lied. They say I need prompting for face to face interaction where not once on the recording did I say I need that, I do not leave the house unless it is emergencies as I have panic attackd/anxiety etc there are other discrepancies so now I am lost what to do. The benefit rep I have isn't very good & didn't even know the recording had been sent to her on the 22nd June until I informed her. Can anyone tell me what I need to do now please?

You will need to find an advice agency near you that has experience and knowledge in errors in law. They will need to look at the Statement of Reasons and Record of Proceedings to see if they can find that error. Start here. https://advicelocal.uk/welfare-benefits Citizens Advice will very likely not be able to advise with this because they don't deal with errors in law.
