Hi, im new to this, but i wonder if anyone can help. I had my pip review and received a text from dwp saying a decision has been made and i will get a letter in the post within 2 weeks, it was 2 weeks yesterday, does the text mean iv been unsuccessful, iv seen lots of people on here receive texts with a posotive decision. Thanks in advance for any light you can shed in this.

Unfortunately a lot of people are having issues with receiving letters from DWP at the moment, phone PIP tomorrow (I recommend at 9am) to request another copy of your award notice and you can ask what the new decision is too.1

Bg844, thank you for your help, do you know of anyone who had this type of text, im concerned because it also states decisions cannot be given over the phone, and o lot of people on here were given there decisions in the text, im guessing not being told via text means iv not had my claim renewed.0

Most people are now receiving these messages, they’re the new ‘norm’ in the reviews process. Try not to worry, the vast majority have been reviewed with no problems from experience. I know it says do not call but there’s nothing stopping you asking.0

Thank you so much, i will take your advice and call them tomorrow, and post the decision when i find out.0

For reviews they don't usually send texts if there's an award. Usually the text you receive is the standard text for reviews.

Good evening everyone, I've been a member for a few month now but this my first contact0

I had my PIP interview the person interviewed me questioned me on my work stated she was a nurse & that I should be doing some of procedures I do, that only qualified staff do that.
It really took me back should I have been questioned like that. It keeps playing on my mind0 -
I wasnt really questioned it was more like an interrogation 2 hours answering questions sometimes twice and three times, same question just asked in slightly different ways, and explaining my daily routine, i was drained after it.1

Evening all, two weeks, doesn’t necessarily mean two weeks unfortunately. I would wait a bit longer. It doesn’t mean you have been unsuccessful at all. As far as I know (unless it’s changed) they don’t text with the actual decision, they just text with updates about your claim. Did you call them? They might have told you over the phone, if you could get through (nightmare). I was on PIP but they stopped it when I had a review. My health was actually worse! So I have appealed, and I’m waiting for the decision on that. Could be many weeks they said. My review was in 2021 and it’s taken this long for me to get to the appeal stage and now wait for the hearing.
I think the whole process is awful 😢 hope you had (or get) good news 🤞0 -
Hi, yes i called them wednesday and the lady said they had sent the letter out over a week ago and she would send another out, she read the 1st page out to me and to my surprise i was awarded both elements for 4 years, i received the letter the very next day, im sorry to hear your having such a long wait its a very anxious time, the only good thing about it is if your successful in your claim, the payments will be back dated, good luck 🤞.1

This is great news! I bet you are relieved. I will let you know how I get on if I remember (might take some time) but hooray, it’s all worth it isn’t it when you get a good outcome xx0
-
🤣 i know what you mean about remembering, my memory is awful, yes its worth it if you get the right outcome, so i will keep my fingers crossed that you win your appeal and i hope its resolved soon, 2 years of back pay, dont know about you but iv always wanted to go to the maldives 🤣, good luck.0

That's changed now. For first time claims they do sometimes (not always) send a text message advising there's been an award. They just don't tell you what the award is this way.
