PIP Assessor lieing

Has anyone dealt with a PIP assessor making numerous lies throughout the report? I got 0 points so requested a copy of the report. I’ve read through it and everything is a complete fabrication! Even down to lieing about how many tablets I take. Examples are saying my medication was effective even though I told her it wasn’t and had come off it to find new treatment, saying I go out shopping 1-2 times a week when I said my partner does the food shopping, saying I can manage road diversions - this wasn’t even asked, says I use no aids when I listed the aids I use on the phone.
I will definitely be appealing but how successful are appeals realistically? Has anyone been through this process and has any advice? Thank you

Yes it has been known. The report is their opinion based on everything you sent and what you said during the assessment.

You can request the Mandatory Reconsideration within 1 month of the date of the decision. You should put this in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points.

Its fine to point out some obvious contradictions but then put the report to one side and move on. Concentrating wholly on this will not get you a PIP award.

The most common reason for refusal is poorly completed forms. If you didn’t give a couple of real worlds examples of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you when filling out the form you should do that now. Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.

The most likely outcome of the MR will be the decision doesn’t change. Only about 23% of them change in the claimant’s favour. You can proceed to Tribunal after this stage.

Yes they lie for a pastime. Or more likely for a bonus.
    It's disgraceful.
It's like they have a dozen refusal letters they use in rotation, regardless of what you've written

Two people I know have complained to their Member of Parliament. Instant (ish!) result.
The only thing which the group I know use which always works, is statement(s) from medical professional(s).

Someone on here said there are no magic words. My evidence is to  the contrary, from my own and half a dozen other claims.
Use the words on the gov  form, or refer to them directly, and get a Medical Professional to write down, for example,  under Mobility, "this person cannot safely walk 20m". Then you win, eventually.

Forget words like "this person has difficulty" blah blah. Everyone gets difficulties, they won't buy it.
Be prepared to pay for your expert(s), unfortunately.  Paying means you get evidence, it doesn't mean it'll say exactly what you want!
You need a bit of time to explain to the Med Prof about the form - they may not be familiar with it. Say it's important to be clear, using the right clauses....  Then email what you need, to the med prof - you know - to help them - , and with a bit of luck they'll cut, edit and paste from your email.

DWP bods want the condition - from a doctor or similar, and evidence for the problem it causes which is incontrovertible. Say what you can go to a tribunal with.
I discovered that my SIL used to work for the CAB, taking people to tribunals to present their case. Tribunals cost thousands, they hate people going to them. Tribunals look for evidence, so get it, and make it plain you'll use it. Sometimes people get their "award" while waiting for the tribunal. That I assume is when someone actually WITH a brain weighs up the chances of fobbing you off.

They may still ignore you. If they do, use your MP.

They do report things dishonestly, that is a fact, but do as Poppy says, concentrate on giving 'real world' examples of how your conditions effect you day to day. Use the correct form (CRMR1), make sure you get Proof of Postage.

I would give the DWP a call, ask them what the current status of the claim is.

Timescales are up to 12 weeks for a decision once the report is returned to DWP. If it's still within this timescale then it's perfectly normal.

Yes, i went through the same thing, the assessors very 1st comment was, "i heard my name being called in the waiting room" even though i suffer with anxiety and waited outside the building in a wheelchair, she actually came outside and said she could get a ramp to save my friend bumping me up the steps, if they have a removable ramp shouldnt it be fitted at all times, anyway, i got 0 points, took it to tribunal, it was heard in my absence, even though i requested to be present, i got a favourable decision from them, dont give up, keep on fighting 👍
