Hello ๐ this is my first time posting here and I struggle getting my words down correctly so please bare with me while I try and explain the situation....
So, I was previously in the LCW group. (I didn't know I was in this group but I will try to explain more about it further down) My condition worsened and I added a fit note and change of circumstances to my journal December 16th 2021. My fit not expired 14th February 2022. I was sent an assessment questionnaire in March 22 and was also asked if I consent to them viewing my medical records, which I agreed to. Fast forward to June 9th, which was my tribunal date for PIP. They had mentioned that I was in the LCW group but obviously to my knowledge I wasn't aware of this and the DWP representative also looked confused that I didn't know. I won my PIP tribunal the same day after 15 long months of waiting ๐๐ a couple of days later, 12th June I received a telephone assessment appointment for LCWRA which was to be held 26th June. 2 weeks later 10th July, I have been awarded LCWRA which I am so relieved about. I don't have to deal with the daily stress of waiting any longer. Now, on my award letter it doesn't state a start or end date, it just states that I'll start receiving the payment 3 months after the assessment period which starts from the time I sent in fit note. So does this mean I am entitled to LCWRA back pay to Dec 2021 or from my assessment day 26th June? My case manager is really horrible to me and keeps giving me conflicting advise. I have already made 3 complaints about her due to her discriminating against me and my disability. That's another story for another time though ๐ . I have just had my statement put on my journal today and the element wasn't on there so I'm really confused about it. Please can someone help me clear this up in my head so I can just relax and not think about it anymore? Thanks for reading and sorry it's so long.

As you were already found to have LCW then there's no waiting period for the extra money. It will be paid from the assessment period in which which you reported the changes. (assuming you continued to sent fit notes until a decision was made on the WCA)The reason the extra money isn't on your statement is very likely because you didn't receive the decision until 2 days ago. Therefore there wouldn't have been enough of time to include it in this months statement.Any money owed will be paid separately to your usual monthly money and often takes quite a few weeks to pay it.0

Hi, thank you for your reply. I only sent the 1 fit not which expired 14th Feb 2022. I wasn't aware I had to send continuous fit notes as nobody told me I needed to do that. So should I just be awarded from the day of my assessment then?0

If you had reported a change in your health condition by reporting a change of circumstancrs, it should have sent you reminders to report another fit note when one was about to end. It will be down to a decision maker to make the final decision on when to award it from.

You first payment will be either June or July.
The exact date will depend on what date exactly you sent your first fit note/reported your health condition. What date you usually receive your money each month.ย

I reported my first fit note on 13th Feb I got an email last week saying I'm entitled to lcwra and I normally get paid on the 25th of each month. So what happens next. Do you think I'm entitled to back pay0
