Hi could you help.
I have just been awarded standard pip for daily living and motability.
I received back pay from Jan 26th 23 to 4th July 23. 2079.46 I thought this was not correct I did take into consideration that rates changed in April 23.
I received the confirmation letter today which states
I can award you standard rate of 61.85 a week until Jan 26
I can award you standard rate of 24.45 a week until Jan 26
I thought the amount was higher from April. I am wondering why they have quoted the rate vefore it changed in April 23

I think the amount you’ve received is correct. It will be a mixture of both rates before and after the increase but they’ve only given the one rate on your letter. It’s about 10 weeks at the old rate and 13 weeks at the new rate (give or take a day or 2) My calculations make it roughly what you’ve received. If they had paid you the whole amount based on the old rate then you would have only received approximately £1,980.1
