I had a question about LCWRA backdated pay ? I started handing in my fit notes in April and was accepted for LCWRA on July 10th . It says I have a 3 month waiting period before I get paid ? So do I get any back pay?

Hello @caseyhughes and a warm welcome to the community.
Although they say it's a 3 month waiting period, it's actually 3 full assessment periods and then you'd see the increase at the end of your fourth assessment period. So from the information you've shared, it's very unlikely you are owed any backpay.
What date did you give your first fit note to UC and what date do you normally receive your Universal Credit? This will impact when your first payment is due.0 -
ThankYou for your answer @Adrian_Scope I gave my first sick note on the 17th of march and I get my universal credit on the 19th of every month0

In your first comment you said you sent your first fit note in April but now you’re saying March. Can you please double check which is correct? To give the correct advice I need all the correct information.0

Thanks for the information @caseyhughes. Unfortunately it doesn't seem any back pay is due.
With your payment being on the 19th of the month your assessment periods are likely to be 12th-11th of each month.
Assuming that it's March 17th you provided your first fit note they would calculate the wait period like this:
12th March to 11th April - doesn't count as it is not a full assessment period after your first fit not
12th April to 11th May - 1st assessment period
12th May to 11th June - 2nd assessment period
12th June to 11th July - 3rd assessment period
12th July to 11th August - LCWRA in payment. So your first payment of LCWRA should be in your 19th August payment.
However, if your first fit note was handed in on the 19th April, your first payment of LCWRA won't be until 10th September.

@poppy123456 so sorry I doubled checked it was definitely the the 17th of match .0

Then first payment is 19th August and no LCWRA element is owed.0
