Hello, I’m a carer for my mum who has recently just had a PIP review she suffers with extreme anxiety, I was wondering if anyone could help she had a text message on Monday saying they have completed the PIP review and will receive a letter in 2 weeks, she is panicking so much about this. My questions are. Does it take 2 weeks to come or can I come before? Also I have seen some people are told by text message they have been awarded it, does this mean she hasn’t?
Many thanks

Text messages for awards are only for new claims only, they are not sent for reviews. The text she received is a standard text and doesn't mean anything other than what it says.Letters from DWP can take up to 2 weeks but of course they can arrive before that. If she want's to know what the decision is she can ring on Monday morning when they open.1

Hi my name is Darren, I received a call out of the blue from DWP I gather about my PIP Review. As i hadn’t recognised the number and wasn’t expecting the call I started to have a Panic Attack When she said who she was, I asked if they could phone back later in the day and they said they would but they Didn’t. Does that now mean my claim will be stopped and I will have to appeal. Getting Very Worried about it.0
