LCWRA backdated pay

Hey,
I’m hearing mixed stories, I know that it is included in your UC payment after the 4th assessment period and that you don’t get anything when you’re actually waiting for your outcome. I just wanted to find out if LCWRA is still backdated for the 3 month waiting period from when I first handed in my sick notes & if I will get a lump sum.
thank you

The extra money for the LCWRA element isn't paid at all during the waiting period. The waiting period is 3 full assessment periods and it's then paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition/sent your first fit note. When it's paid from for you will depend on what date exactly you reported your health condition/sent your first fit note. What date exactly you receive your money each month.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

I know that I have to wait till the 4 month after I’ve sent my sick note in. I’ve checked my statement and they’ve added the LCWRA amount. But I was wondering after the assessment period is over if the payment gets backdated to when I first submit my sick note and sent separately to the extra amount . I normally get paid on the 28th every month… if I have submitted my sick note on the 22nd of March, the assessment period ends June 22nd is the payment then backdated to the 22nd March meaning I’m owed back pay as 22nd March is when I handed in my sick note

As i advised, the extra money isn't paid at all during the waiting period. (unless you're claiming because of end of life) Therefore the LCWRA element will not be owed to you from the start of your claim.Your waiting period is March to June.. LCWRA starts from June 22nd to July 21 and first payment will be 28th July. No LCWRA element is owed.UC is paid 1 month in arrears, which is why it's then paid from the end of the 4th month.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
