Good Evening,
I wanted to make anyone aware who is on the enhanced mobility part of PIP that you are eligible for either a new car or mobility scooter.
having visited a dealership this week to sort out a new car I was made aware that apparently “millions” are unaware that they are eligible under the enhanced rate on PIP. In addition if you have a car you can get free road tax in addition to a disabled persons rail card.
the process for the car is very straight forward with many dealerships participating in the mobility scheme. You can go onto the mobility scheme website and all information is available to you.
you can have upto 4 named drivers on the car and the benefits include:
insurance fully comprehensive for the entire lease.
RAC breakdown cover
free tyre changes
plus other things such as adaptions if required (eg) hoist.
I hope the above helps, it’s a shame so many are not aware of the scheme.
