Blue badge for and disabled parking outside of home of disabled person

My nephew lacks mental and physical capacity and is entitled to the top rate of PIP disability...he is 26, can't read, write, drive, go shopping, cook, clean or effectively clean himself. When out in public he can become difficult to manage and often shouts at people agitated.
His mum does most of the caring but she can't drive and very limited English language skills but getting about is a problem
Other members of family help out with shopping, travelling to meetings or just getting to places.
Can I apply for a blue badge on his behalf even though I own the car provided I register it at my nephews home...or is that not allowed?

Hi @Taiq_Chowdry, and welcome to the online community.
A blue badge is given to a person, rather than assigned to a car. If your nephew doesn't already have a blue badge, you can apply for one on his behalf.
Apply for a blue badge (GOV.UK)
As long as the blue badge is only used when supporting your nephew, it doesn't matter that it's your car.
Here is some information if you are unsure on any of the rules.
The Blue Badge scheme: rights and responsibilities in England (GOV.UK)
I hope this helps.1 -
Thank you Chloe
So were going to make an online application to Haringey Council on behalf of my nephew once we have all his documents to hand0
