12 weeks since i claimed for CA and for the past 4 weeks ive been told my claim has been put as “urgent” due to me struggling financially but nothing has changed been told for the past 2 weeks to expect a phone call that never comes & only last week they said my claim is in the “back office” being finalised and sorting payments out yet still nothing they honestly make me sick the fact that you tell them your struggling and yet nothing changes it’s honestly a mess! Any help or guidance on what to do next would be appreciated as nothing seems to be working atm, thanks in advance.

It's not unusal for a cliam for carers allowance to take this long. I'm not sure what else you can do other than to contact your local MP. https://www.parliament.uk/get-involved/contact-an-mp-or-lord/contact-your-mp/ Are you claiming any other benefits? If so which ones?
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -

It very often takes longer when you're already claiming another benefit.
