Hi just a quick query. I today had my assessment over the phone for LCWRA and, if I do get it, will be moved from LCW. My query is should i still expect to receive a payment 3 months after the decision date, or will it be the next payment as it is a move from one to the other?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Is this a review started by UC or did you report a change of health condition? If a change of health condition, did you send in fit notes to support this?
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Thanks for the reply.
On the 11th April I submitted a new fit note and the received a letter on 25th April that I had been referred for a Work Capability Assessment. I'm not sure why as the April 11th fit note did not contain any new information, just a fresh fit note as I'd noticed I was coming towards the end of the 12 month assessment period of my original LCW decision.
I have been submitting continuous fit notes since April 11th.
Thanks.
Edit: my AP for each statement is 21st to 20th -

Just for future reference LCW or LCWRA has no end date, they both continue until a new decision says otherwise. There's no such thing as a 12 month assessment period. As you reported your fit note on 11th April that would be AP 21st March to 20th April so that will be when the LCWRA will start from (if awarded) with first payment being 27th April.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I believe that I should be been in receipt of it since my initial decision over a year ago, so hopeful that it will be applied correctly (imo) this time.
Very helpful information! -
You're welcome. If you don't have the correct decision this time you can challenge that by requesting the MR within 1 month of the date of the decision.

Timescales for decisions once the assessment report is returned is up to 12 weeks. Didn't you only recently have the assessment?

Was I told wrong info? -
I've never heard of any official deadlines for decisions after the WCA. Do be aware that when you ring UC helpline or any other DWP department that you're speaking to someone from a call centre, who very often have very little knowledge.Timescales are up to 12 weeks. Some have a decision within days, some a couple of weeks and other several weeks, sometimes longer.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. So I received my decision letter and it seems I’ve been awarded lcwra and am entitled to the higher rate but, they’ve done it as a review and the letter says ‘you’ll continue to receive the same amount of UC’ and I’ve never ever received the additional rate. I spoke to someone at UC who has said that I’ll receive the new amount on my next statement and they’re doing a underpayment calculation for 9 months. I’m not sure why it’s gone through as a review?

@justme6263 It sounds like it may be a random compliance check? Hopefully when they give you your next statement there will be more clarity.Hannah - She / Her
