Not everyone receives a text telling them the outcome @Henri01

Why would pip phone me and ask if I had been in prison, on holiday been in a care home, if I was still on the same medication ,same bank details if I wasn't going to be awarded, seems a bit cruel,

Hi @Henri01 it's hard to say for sure but hopefully you'll hear back soon. I think this call was to gain some additional information as part of the process. Fingers crossed that you get a positive result though 🙂

Hi Holly I forgot about the bank holiday, so hopefully it won't be long, if I get awarded, they asked if my bank details are still the same and something about a lump payment

Holly they also asked if I'd been in hospital, a care home or prison, since I started my claim, and if I'm still on the same medication

Turned down again I don't see the point of the phone call, asking questions about being abroad, care home and prison and lump sum built my hopes up for nothing

Sorry to hear that @Henri01, that must be really disappointing news. If this was for your mandatory reconsideration, the decisions are often similar or the same to what happened when you first applied which can be frustrating to hear. Many people find that their tribunal results are better, so if you're feeling up to challenging it again it's well worth a go.

I can't understand why they would ask all those questions, just to turn me down, It was ridiculous and cruel , build my hopes up, to be honest I couldn't hardly understand what he was saying I had to ask to keep repeating the questions,

I think they made the decision before the phone call to be honest, no intention of changing the original decision at all, cruel and unessery, shouldn't of bothered to ring and ask those questions

Hi @Henri01 Sometimes they'll ask the standard questions just to tick the boxes, it doesn't necessarily mean that a claim has been awarded or changed unfortunately.

It does feel cruel if you then receive a negative response and I can understand why you might have got your hopes up after what they asked. It can be a really stressful process to go through, hope you're doing okay.

@Henri01 hard luck on the MR decision but as Rosie stated, usually the award stays the same with a MR. It is upsetting, the whole process is. Your next step is a tribunal and outcomes are a lot better. Calm down for a day or two and apply. Best of luck!
