i think it has been mentioned that a decision can take up to 12 weeks, so it varies.

It varies quite a lot, which is why we advise up to 12 weeks.

I received my review form in March 2022 and I sent it back April 2022. My assessment was on 27 June 2023. The health prof report was sent back on 28 June 2023. Then my review was finally completed 20 Jul 2023. I have been awarded and grateful for new award, but there were a few discrepancies with points. The points will not change the award but I was told by the manager I spoke to that’s it’s important I get them to rectify the correct points just in case for any future reviews.
So he put in a request for MR on 27 July 2023. Just received txt this morning to say they will expect to look at the decision by 21/09/2023….. Everything is a waiting game for them!…

Everything is a waiting game for them!…That's quite appalling advice you've had there as i noticed from another thread that you've been awarded Enhanced for both parts. That's the highest award you can have and no amount of extra points will get you any higher award. If someone took a decision to Tribunal, sometimes they will stop at 12 points for daily living and mobility and won't even bother going any further because there's no point at all and it would be wasting their time.Although the most likely outcome of the MR will be the decision remains the same, there's still a chance you could lose some points and this would mean losing what you already have. I really hope for you that this doesn't happen. It's a complete waste of time for yourself and everyone else to challenge this decision. When it comes to your next review you just treat it as a new claim and give as much information as possible. My daughter scored 17 points for daily living but it should have been 19. The extra points will not get her a higher award so i've never challenged that decision.I'd advise you to ring PIP on Monday morning to ask if you can cancel the MR request and hopefully they will do that.0
