I actually ordered this in May but I had a PIP review ongoing and didn't want to share in case I jinxed it and was not awarded the correct amount of PIP. It's been hard not telling anyone.

It is a Mini John Cooper Works. With 230 horsepower...in a Mini. On the Motability Scheme. Honestly when I saw this was available on the scheme my jaw hit the floor as I thought Motability was meant to get people from A to B not provide people with sports cars. But never mind, I paid my deposit and it's going to be mine fair and square. To say I can't wait is an understatement.

Here are some pics of a very similar car. Mine is the same EXCEPT for the blacked out windows as I prefer clear windows.

Thanks for reading. :)

Its a great car very stylish. thats the only thing with mini coopers the size, I'm tall so would struggle. Especially as I don't bend very well.  Someone near me as a bright yellow one, which kids love as for some reason every kid trys to spot a yellow car

@66Mustang well done on keeping the award and getting your new car, I had a Mini many years ago.

    Thanks @Grinchy and @Biblioklept :)

The colour really can't be done justice with a computer screen, it's called Rebel Green, looks so awesome in the different sunlights. In bright light it's obvious green but in some lights it's almost black.

Couple of pics from online to try to show it off.

Thanks @C_J I reckon the old ones were more fun but the new ones are a lot more practical and reliable I guess. I have a Cooper S at the moment so the JCW will just be a little bit better in every department, bit more power bit more handling etc plus it has a sat nav which will be nice. :D

@michael57 thanks but sorry to hear you can't drive anymore, must have been heartbreaking being a car nut and owning cars like the Evo then not being allowed to drive. PS when I typed "evo" the autocorrect tried to correct it to "eco" as if there is anything eco about it ha ha

ah its cool not driving started off many years ago i built a mk 1 escort put a lotus twin cam engine in it for road rallies but i have to say very close to the evo would have to be a renault 21 turbo now as a production the car was a french version of the cosworth but more fun

Years ago I was lucky enough to be taken for a spin by Tommi Makkinen in his WRC Evo.
They were rally tuning the car in preparation for the Welsh Stages of the WRC and we were working in the forestry above.  Such a great down to earth bloke.  As was his team.  Never have I clung on for 2miles like I did then.

50 mph in a Transit on a forestry road is fast ... get in a Works Rally car at over a 100 ... was still shaking an hour later.  Wouldn't happen these days with Health & safety and compensation culture

Nice wheels @66Mustang, lovely colour.  Safe travels.
As an aside we used to put 1.4 and 1.6's in old minis, with uprated suspension there is nothing that holds the road like an old mini

    @michael57 ... I had a Lotus Sunbeam ... sadly I wasn't as good as the next corner ...

    Thanks @Lou67

@WelshBlue that's really cool about getting a ride in the rally car. I have not done anything like that but have been driven round Lotus test track by their test driver on an experience day, I don't know about you but when you see the car in the hands of a pro it is really humbling.. made me realise 3 things..
    1. how I am an average driver at best
    2. how slow I am when I think I am going fast
    3. what cars are capable of and how it is not even breaking a sweat in my hands
    :D:D:D

Love it!! You are correct, the screen doesn't do that colour any justice at all. I've seen this in the show room and it's jaw droppingly gorgeous!! I sat in it and it really is a beautiful car!

Sometimes they do have high preformance cars on motability. You must be so exited, i know i would be. Have fun when you do take it for a spin!

I must admit, i prefer the tinted windows B)
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
