Repairs on a council wet room

Hi all,
I’m getting a little desperate for some advice!
I’ve been waiting just over 8 weeks to have my shower repaired as it has no hot water!
The engineer from the shower manufacturer’s came out today and condemned the shower saying that the installation done by another company is so bad that the shower is dangerous and could have electrocuted me.
The shower was condemned last year as well but the installation company said that was wrong and the shower was fine. The council also said it was fitted properly though they never inspected it.
I think I may have been taken for a bit of a fool by the council and the installation company and I have been exposed to potentially a life threatening situation.
The upshot is that I still have no washing facilities and the engineer today suggested I should now seek legal advice.
Does anyone have experience or guidance with this sort of situation?

@IANWB welcome to scope that's shocking (no pun intended), you could seek advice from CAB or speak to one of the three councillors for your area (council will have contact details for them), if all else fails speak to your MP and or the local newspaper.
Hope you get it sorted.Seasons greetings to one and all 🎄🎅🏻🌲 -
You could also try your local councils Environmental Health department.

The engineer who stated the shower is condemned and dangerous must have put that in writing. You need to copy that report to all relevant people.

I’vegot a copy of the initial report and there’s a large red warning sticker on the shower. I took a photo of these and sent them to Occupational Therapy. The idea of sending them to the CEO of the council is a really good idea - thank you!
