Hi all.
My first time here, the information is very helpful.
I had a pip phone assessment review yesterday. After speaking to the assessor for a few minutes I was very breathless due to my COPD, the assessor was sympathetic and ended the call, telling me that they had other measures in place.
Anyone have any idea what this means?
I haven't heard anything further, but as I say, it was only yesterday.

They might have had enough information on paper to complete an assessment that way. That being said, keep an eye out for any communication from PIP just in case.

Thank you, bg844, it was odd, the phone call only lasted 8 minutes. I will, maybe they will phone again.
-
Do you have any clarity about what they mean yet @Linda365?Community Volunteer Adviser with professional knowledge of education, special educational needs and disabilities and EHCP's. Pronouns: She/her.
Please note: if I use the online community outside of its hours of administration, I am doing so in a personal capacity only. -
Hello, I've not heard anything yet, but the phone assessment was only last week, just unsure what to expect now.

Hi @Linda365, welcome to the community . This is a situation I've not heard before. I'm going to move this to the PIP category, where it will have better visibility to people with more knowledge and experience of PIP.They/Them, however they are no wrong pronouns with me so whatever you feel most comfortable with

Thank you Jimm, I've looked on line too, but I can't find any info. I'm sort of in limbo now, half expecting a phone call. Its very odd.

These things can take some time unfortunately, have you had any texts from PIP either? There's multiple reasons why you might not of heard back yet including a report completed being in audit. Give it until the end of this week and if nothing give the Assessment Provider a call.

Okay, thanks all.
It's like the Sword of Damacles hanging over me and everyone else.
Not pleasant. -
I think this may mean that they may do a paper based assessment
-
Thank you Louise 1234.
I really hope so, I dreaded that phone assessment, fingers crossed. -
No problem. I have only been an assessor for 10 months, so could be wrong

Thanks everyone.

Hello All,
I am 66 on April 12. Currently on esa.
Esa will stop on my birthday but they are giving me a payment of £138 on the 11 April. A day before my birthday. My normal payment is £450 fortnightly, which would be due on the 10th April.
They are paying £632 on 1st May.
Then regular payments of £884 on 29 may and thereafter.
I can't make sense of what seems to be a gap in payments. I've tried phoning but what they told me makes no sense.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
