LCWRA is part of UC. If you are under 25 and you're not working then there will be no non dependant deductions to your Uncle's housing benefit. If you're 25 and over then there will be a £18.10/week deduction in their housing benefit. Unless they are claiming either PIP daily living, DLA care or ADP daily living for their self.Full details here. https://england.shelter.org.uk/housing_advice/benefits/housing_benefit_deductions_when_living_with_non_dependants

Hi,
I'm disabled and stuck in a flat that is totally unsuitable for me but because housing benefit hasn't increased in years, I can't move. All of the 1 bedroom ground floor flats in my area are now £700 a month and over. I'm awarded £92 a week in housing benefit, how am I supposed to afford the shortfall in the rent each month?
Is there a petition being put forward to the government regarding this, it's ridiculous?!0 -

Is there a petition being put forward to the government regarding this, it's ridiculous?!I'm assuming you're privately renting? Unfortunately, local housing allowance very rarely covers the whole of your rent. I'm not aware of any petitions i'm afraid. If you're having problems paying your rent you can apply for a discretionary housing payment (DHP) from your local Auhtority. It's only paid for a short amount of time if awarded and then you need to reapply. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/claiming-discretionary-housing-payments/claiming-discretionary-housing-payments
