I normally get ESA today but I’ve had one payment of £1936.35 that can’t be esa I’m also waiting on a years backdated pip surely that’s not all I’m getting backdated! Does anyone know what this could be? My mum is going to phone on Monday but I’m just confused my esa payment should be separate shouldn’t it? Thanks

ESA and PIP get paid totally separately.
That could be the backpay from around a years worth of standard rate Mobility if that's what you've been awarded. Or you may have less than a year of backpay depending on exact circumstances and whether this was a review or a new claim etc.
Ultimately, you'll probably get a letter by about Wednesday if it is a PIP award. I'd just wait for that rather than contacting the PIP line if it was mine.0 -
I know they get paid separately but I usually get ESA today and didn’t get it I only got that payment, I won a tribunal I was awarded standard daily living and enhanced mobility my award was stopped last august1

ESA payments do sometimes change date when PIP is awarded so don't worry about that yet. They are labelled differently though. I'm assuming this amount doesn't say PIP or ESA?
You are right, should be getting more backpay than that. Did you choose to have payments made in smaller amounts rather than one lump sum? That is an option for people who may have difficulty managing money.
It is also possible that it could be backpayment from SDP or housing benefit if you are eligible for either of those and they've been contacted about your tribunal win.1 -
Thank you, it just says giro DW the only benefits I have had is esa and pip nothing else, I told them on the money I was ok with large amounts of money I think you are right and I need to wait on the letter and see what it says1

Got some money in my bank last Saturday was less than expected my mum phoned on Monday they agreed it wasn’t right the guy on the phone spoke to someone else and said the rest will be in my bank the next day, that was Tuesday and I still haven’t received the money? I hate having to keep phoning all the time. Do you think he meant it was getting put into payment the next day? Thanks0
