I have been living on my own in a 2 bed house so I had a spare room which I'm paying extra for. But my adult son might be moving back home. I get full universal housing benefit and single benefit council tax. I am on LCWRA. and I get pip fir low care and mobility. If my son moves in will it effect any of my benefits. Thank you

As you're claiming UC you will only be claiming housing benefit if you're living in either supported or temporary housing. If not then your rent will be paid in with your UC known as housing element. As your PIP includes the daily living part then there will be no non dependant deductions for UC. If you're living in social housing/council property then you will no longer be affected by the bedroom tax and your full rent should then be covered so you need to report the changes to UC if he does move in with you.For council tax reduction then you will lose the 25% single person discount. However you son maybe able to claim carers discount, which is 25%. He does not need to be claiming either carers allowance or carers element of UC to be able to claim this. See link for further information. https://www.turn2us.org.uk/Benefit-guides/Council-Tax-Discounts/Carers you will need to speak to your local Authority about this.
