Near Pension Age

Good Afternoon, hopefully someone can help us. I’ll try and write this post as easily as I can.
1. I am 58 years old, my husband will be 60 in January
2. we are on UC, receive housing support + Council tax support
3. I am disabled, so receive LCWRA, my husband is my carer
4. I receive full rate PIP, care + high rate Mobility.
5. My husband gets support for looking after me each Monday.
6. We live in Council accommodation and pay bedroom tax for one bedroom, the home is adapted for me and my disabilities.
7. I am unable to work, and my disabilities are getting worse.
8. we have no personal pensions
So my question is, my husband will meet pension age before me, so will UC + LCWRA and carer payment stop?
Next, looking on the pension forecast it states we will both receive full pension, so does that mean we will not get top up pension credit
Will our rent still be paid and council tax?
Being disabled I do not know if there is anything to change over from LCWRA like attendance allowance or ICA kind of thing.

The obvious thing is, I know we are not pension age yet, but I do like to know what the changes will be, and the internet isn’t always the best, a lot of contradictions. I also realise that things can change with all payments.

At the moment state pension age is 66 so your husband has quite a while to wait yet. Pension age may also increase by that time too so any advice given now may not be relevant when it comes to him claiming state pension. My advice is to come back much closer to the time when he's due to claim his state pension and someone will advise you further. I realise you want to know what the changes will be but benefit rules change so much and any advice given to you now may not be relevant in 6 years time (potentially longer)I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

As the rules are at the moment then your UC would continue as a mixed aged couple but his state pension will be deducted in full from any UC entitlement. However, as i advised, it's a very long way off yet.LCWRA is part of UC and nothing related to Attendance Allowance. Your PIP will continue for as long as you remain entitled to it, even when you reach state pension age.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
