Applied for pip beginning of july due to my anxiety and depression worsening since the death of my husband earlier in year. Recieved forms and filled them out sent in prescription lists with them. Then 2 weeks ago got a phonecall off a lady saying she wanted to go over a few things on my form, i did tell her i couldnt even remember filling out form as i was still very traumatised over losing my husband (he was just 47, i am 45) we were on the phone about 20 minutes most of it i spent crying. She then said she had all information needed and i would bot need face to face. The following day i got a text saying they had received my report. 2 weeks and 2 days later which is today i got a letter saying "we now have the information needed to decide if we can award you pip. There is no need to contact us we will write to you when we have made desicion on your pip claim" is this normal? I am expecting to be turned down but wonder if anyone has had award in similar circumstances?

Hello @mrsC78 - I'm so sorry about you losing your husband at such a young age earlier this year.As far as your PIP goes the texts you have received are just standard, & nothing to worry about at all.It can take anything from 2-12 weeks to get a decision letter.0

It won't be long until they are back! With stories of their first day I feel like, when we were at school the day seemed so long. Now it's not long enough!
