Hello. I am with British Gas and my electric meter won’t top up online or at the shop. I have less than £5 on my emergency and they won’t come out until October. My husband is on home oxygen and I have told them that in may texts. I don’t know what to do. Can any one advise me please.

Hello @Fluffy50, did British Gas get back to you about this?
If your electric is still low, do you have somewhere safe you and your husband can go in the mean time such as with a neighbour or a family member? I know it isn't ideal but it might temporarily.
Are you on the priority register at all? And have they given any reason as to why it won't top up? I'm also going to ask the team to speak to our Disability Energy Support service to see if they have any suggestions for you.

Hello. There is no where I can go. Yes we are on the priority list. Someone has said it is the hub and it should take about 24 hours and I spoke to someone today they said about a week. This has been going on since 16 August. Thank you0

I have £30 out standing that I can't put on the meter manually as they keep saying to do. When I do it comes up failed.0

whom owns said metre ask to fit a new one and say if not i will change company sorted maybe. and buy
a electric heater or gas camping stove for now good luck.0 -
@jeanlafont I'm not sure you read the whole thread? They know who owns the meter and I'm not sure they have the money to be shelling out for a heater or camping stove + energy costs just now.0

Thank you all. They came in yesterday and changed the meter. I have electric now.2
