Hi, I have been on new style esa since May. I sent my work capability form back and they received it on the 23rd August. I have been awarded my nhs ill health pension, which is low, so I will still be entitled to esa. I sent the letter from the NHS pensions doctor with the work capacity forms, as he has said I will be unfit for work permanently. I also send clinic letters from my consultant. Does anyone know the likely wait time for my assessment now please? I am wondering if it might be a paper assessment. I am in West Wales and the jobcentre plus phone line person said they have different wait times depending on the work load where you are. If anyone has any experience I would be very grateful to hear it please. Thanks 😊

Most people have assessments which are mostly by telephone. Some are face to face or video. There are no timescales because it varies depending on the backlogs in your area. Paper based is rare but possible. If an assessment is needed once an appointment becomes available you will be contacted.0
