Hi @red1, I'm sorry you're in such a stressful situation. How long has it been since you sent in the forms? From my knowledge after 3 weeks you should receive a letter about how long the decision will take. I have read in one place that last year it was taking just over 40 days for a decision. I am unsure on wait times just now sorry, but if I can find out I will let you know!
In regards to your child not eating, I'm afraid I only have anecdotal experience but I know texture can be a large issue for many of my autistic friends. Are they not eating any food at all? Scope has an advice section on eating difficulties in children which include sensory problems Eating difficulties | Disability charity Scope UK
We also have a section for Support for Parents of disabled children Advice and support | Disability charity Scope UK. Perhaps there's a local support group that you can join for some in-person support? Support groups for parents | Disability charity Scope UK
I know you've already sent the assessment off but I'm going to link Scope's advice page on the whole process for you incase any of it is potentially useful Disability Living Allowance | Disability charity Scope UK1 -
Just to inform you, I've also moved this discussion to out PIP and DLA category. Here people will be able to answer your DLA question better0

DLA decisions are taking around 18 weeks from the date they received your form, this date will be on a letter you receive from them. Unfortunately, you are in a queue and all you can do right now is wait. Phoning for updates won't help either (not to mention the long times to get through with people asking the same question).

Thank you for your help I think it was June time I sent in form its just the waiting I guess and my son's struggles are not getting any easier....and its back to school tomorrow and that's another problem 😱 x0

look at money deductions from third partys then ask for double the length of time to repay debt will leave
you with extra liquid cash to spend on said child will keep stress away for a period.

They are asking about a DLA claim they made for their Autistic son.1
