I had a stroke on 7th June 2022 and was diagnosed with autism on 30th June 2023. i got a new powered wheelchair on 29th august 2023. pip are currently deciding if I am still entitles to enhanced rate mobility: i have confirmed  I Want a wheelchair accessible car on the review form which would need a five year entitlement to enhanced rate mobility. I wonder how long I will be housebound for I am missing family weddings: two so far. i need rhe review

    Hello @hobbsie44

    Welcome to the community!

Apologies, your posts got caught up in our spam filter, have tidied them up.

I'm so sorry to hear you have been through so much with your health. I hope have the autism diagnosis has opened more information and support for you there?

I am keeping everything crossed for you with your PIP outcome!

thank you I received an automatic extension: quoting 22nd November 2024. but it happened a year earlier than the quoted date in the last review extension. it is very frustrating to wait because I sent  the form back on time in January 2023,

Although your PIP was extended this doesn't mean you weren't still due to be reviewed. They would have sent the forms around the time they should have, had it not been extended.

You don't need a 5 year award for this. Although the WAV's are a 5 year lease, rather than 3 for other vehicles, you only need at least a 1 year award to place an order for any vehicle.
