Housing issues

I'm waiting for a council property and I'm fully aware it won't be quick (I've been on the list 2 years now) but I'm facing a lot of discrimination from the council. My council uses the homefinder system so I've been bidding on any level access property but I keep getting not prioritised messages because they add another criteria such as being over 50 (I'm 22) or prioritising downsizing tenants. I've tried for several adapted properties or properties that could be adapted and been refused and then recently been refused because a property couldn't be adapted.
I've tried contacting social care but can't get hold of anyone even though I've been assessed by them and I can't get hold of my housing OT anymore and I've tried citizens advice and had no response. Does anyone know where I can turn because it feels like I don't stand a chance of ever getting a place now

Hi @emmy_lou12397, I'm really sorry to hear how much difficulty and how long you've had to wait for a home. Are you currently in a home or temporary accommodation?
I know you had a bad experience with citizen's advice not responding, but have you tried Shelter? Shelter specialise in housing, unlike the citizen's advice broadness. They have some informational pages such as this one How to move up the waiting list - Shelter England.
They also have a helpline and a webchat, if you're like me and hate telephone calls.
I hope either their information or support can help you more directly, please do update us with how you're getting on.They/Them, however they are no wrong pronouns with me so whatever you feel most comfortable with

@Jimm_Scope thanks for your advice. I live with my parents but it's a two level house and I can't use the stairs very well anymore so I'm limited to one floor of the house so I'm struggling a lot. I haven't tried shelter so I'll have a look and message them and hopefully get some help
