PIP who to get in touch with to check they have the extra evidence ?

I did an online first time PIP application for my partner and we have an assessment booked for him.( It is face to face but I shall be trying to alter it to a phone appt)  He has terminal cancer( although no time has been put on his passing), heart and kidney problems, and his mobility has suffered greatly since his heart attack and triple by pass last year. I was surpised they actually booked a face to face to be honest rather than just a phone call.                                                                                                  Now I want to check they actually have the 30 plus pages of evidence, I included as a pdf's who would be the best to call to check ? Would it be PIP or the Capita assessment place? I want peace of mind they have them. Thanks

Hi @Moonlady - & welcome to the community. I'd suggest asking Capita as you want to change his assessment to one by phone anyway. I completely understand you wanting peace of mind over this.

Many thanks. Would they be able to tell my partner that information ? Just I'm shocked they want a face to face in the first place and you know your mind goes into overdrive, and I'm thinking I wonder if that evidence went through ok on the online application uploads of pdf 's etc.  I'm sure I did it correctly, I'm average on technical stuff but not a whizz kid as such.  Thanks for your comment

Yes, I'd think so, or if you rang, so long as he's there too in case needed for data protection reasons. It does seem unreasonable to expect him to go to a centre, & many assessments are still done by phone. Any bother & just say he needs a phone assessment as a 'reasonable adjustment' due to his disabilities; it shouldn't be a problem to sort.
I'm sure you uploaded the pdfs fine, but rather check than worry. :)

Thanks again. I will see if he feels up to it asap, thing is I have to go with how he feels about doing things, and his pace at the moment. Although I know we need to phone up quickly.
I appreciate the wording as well....about "reasonable adjustments" etc
I would rather check to put my mind at rest and sort of hope they haven't uploaded now and they look at the evidence and say.....just do paper based, but I know I am hoping for too much
    Appreciate your time and comments

You're most welcome, & thank you for your kind words. This is a very friendly & supportive community, & you'll find someone will (nearly always) be around if needed, so I hope you keep in touch, & let us know how you're both doing.
