Today got letter that I have a video assessment on 05/10 ,Even though I told them I have serious Social Anxiety and find it difficult to talk or look at people I don't know,If I rang them would there be a chance they could change it to a telephone assessment? I'm petrified and don't know what to expect! Any information or help would really appreciate it, It's for Lcwra.

I believe you can request a telephone LCWRA appointment @Sev68. Do you feel comfortable requesting a telephone LCWRA appointment?Community Volunteer Adviser with professional knowledge of education, special educational needs and disabilities and EHCP's. Pronouns: She/her.

@Sev68 I'm sorry they didn't take that into account when making the appointment. As L said, you can call and request a phone appointment instead. Please let us know how you get onHannah - She / Her

Hi Hannah thank you so much for reply,I do have issues facing or looking at anybody even with family,I'm sort of ok with talking but I do get flustered and agitated and tearful, I will have someone with me to help me ,So if I call on Monday morning will they change the appointment to telephone have you heard of someone doing this? Sorry if I'm not making sense but I'm really struggling with the appointment my mind has gone to mush since receiving the letter. Again thank you for the help and support.

Members have requested it. I don't think I have ever had someone denied. I know some members have had to wait a little longer for another appointment to be available. I'm so sorry you are struggling. I'm glad to hear you'll have someone with you!
Just give them a call on Monday and request. Seeing it's for LWCRA you could even ask over your UC journal?Hannah - She / Her
