Hi
i have been doing a pip claim and thought the phone assessment went well and I covered all my issues, 7 days later I received a letter rejecting me by giving me 6 points for living and 4 for mobility. I noticed that there was a lot wrong and that my words was twisted.
has anyone had a successful reconsideration.

    yes I did go through with it and am still waiting for an answer, I have sent more proofs and new evidence so am really hoping I hear soon.

    Hi @Lsecrets. Like you, I thought my assessment had gone well, only to receive low scores. After a lot of thought, I went ahead to a MR, and was awarded. This was two years ago. The only good thing about the MR, is that you don’t have to do another assessment.
    Did you give real life examples of what happens when you try and do one of the descriptors? If not, I’m pretty sure you can still send them information.
    Hopefully @chiarieds, Poppy or others can advise more.

    Yes I wrote bullet points next to each section I didn't get awarded and also wrote a letter explaining where I believe they had gone wrong, I sent new evidence on my diagnosis and how it affects me, I really hope I do not have to take it further as I feel so stressed with it all.

    I doubt you’d find many people that didn’t feel stressed when going through this process, so you’re definitely not alone with that. I’ve recently sent review forms back, so I’m waiting for an assessment date, but I believe the waiting times are so long, due to backlogs. 
    I’m not sure on waiting times for the MR, but it could be something like up to 12 weeks.

    Yes up to 12 weeks for the MR decision. Sadly, only a small percentage have the decision changed at this stage, with only about 23% chance of success. 

    More chance at Tribunal stage where either appearing in person, or a telephone/video hearing has about 68% success rate. 
    I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.

    Leigh14 I only waited 2 weeks for my assessment and got a decision 7 days after that and this was august so it may not be as long as you think.  :)
