Benefits when child only lives with you part time?

We're looking into a boarding school for one of my children, the LA have agreed funding and they would attend Tuesday to Friday each week.
Would this impact any of the benefits I receive for them? I currently receive the child element of UC, the disabled child element of UC, DLA high for both and carer element for caring for them.

The DLA care would be reduced and only paid when they are home with you. The mobility part of DLA will continue. See link. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/disability-living-allowance/help-with-your-dla-claim/dla-change-of-circumstances/ The only time it wouldn't stop is if they are in hospital. The elements for UC for the child would normally stop if they move into boarding school but as your child is only there between Tues and Friday i'm not 100% sure what happens here. I can't find any information that refers to this exact situation. https://www.turn2us.org.uk/get-support/information-for-your-situation/care-homes-and-benefits/benefits-for-your-child-when-they-live-in-a-care-homeCarers element, this would stop if the DLA care stops. This is a complicated situation so for this reason i'd advise you to get some expert advice from either Welfare Rights or a law centre, if you have any of those near to you. This link will help find what's local to you. https://advicelocal.uk/welfare-benefits

Thanks poppy, I've been confused because most places online discuss residential homes rather than boarding schools, it doesn't seem something that is considered.
I've tried reaching out to welfare rights as our citizen advice is useless but they have giant waiting lists at the moment.

if your child lives in a care home or school
It’s important to keep the DWP informed of any dates when your child goes in and out of ‘residential care’ (for example a care home or boarding school). That way you’ll always get the right amount of DLA and won’t get any overpayments.
