Sorry they are late and of not great quality but here are some pictures of my new car as I promised to share some.
I have had the car for a week now and done 350 miles. The car is fantastic, even better than I imagined it would be. It is plenty fast and I haven't even used full acceleration yet because I am still running it in, the manual says to do so for 1,200 miles.
Aside from power it also handles fantastically, has brilliant comfy suspension for a sporty car, and the brakes are overkill for a little car, I'm sure they would stop an SUV or something just fine!!!
Aside from performance it's just the perfect Jack of All Trades car as it's a nice little thing to buzz around the town in and also has a decent size engine so can soak up a motorway journey as well.
I wondered whether I should have gotten the red roof which is exclusive to the JCW model but I'm glad I didn't as I prefer the discrete look of the black roof.

Wow @66Mustang that is one nice looking car I was looking forward to the pictures I also think you made the right choice not to go for the red roof as the car just has a great look to it as it is.
I'm really happy for you.0 -
Your car looks great @66Mustang - & good to hear how much you're enjoying it, which is the main thing. Happy motoring0

@C_J thanks very much, I'm glad you agree about the roof thanks for the kind words
@chiarieds thank you and I agree, for me enjoyment is the primary goal, not to be fastest, there are many faster or "better" cars that aren't as enjoyable0 -
Thanks @Biblioklept
It's definitely a lot of mileage for me but I am still in that honeymoon phase with the car, hopefully it will drop over time.
That said, recently, I have decided to try to get healthy. I am no longer buying snacks, and am buying very little alcohol, a result of which, I am able to afford a little more petrol for driving!0 -
Thanks @Biblioklept just to say you are very astute for noticing that, I had a bit of a moment 2 weeks ago, I don't know what the word is, but when you make a big discovery? Since then I have been trying really hard over the last just 2 weeks or so. I have made more progress in the last fortnight than the last 10 years but am planning on posting about that on the forum at a later date1

I love it! I seen this on my phone earlier but didn't have chance to respond. Now i'm on my desktop it looks even better! Loving the colour and i think the black roof is better than the red!I'm a car person, as you may well know so if it was me i would have probably done 700 miles in the first week in thatHappy motoring and thanks for sharing!1

Great colour. wise choice on the roof ... red roof should be on a red car
Is that the 3oo+ BHP JC works ? Beast of a thing
My daughter has just bought a remapped Hyundai i30N ... not sure which is most insane. Her or the car. I left my trainer print on the car mat from pressing an imaginary brake pedal.
Safe motoring my friend1 -
Thanks @WelshBlue
It's "just" the 230bhp John Cooper Works, but plenty fast for me!!
Wow a remapped i30N ... I know they are rapid cars without a remap so I shudder to imagine what it's like with a remap!!!0 -

What's that returning MPG ?
The i30N ... shudder is right. I thought her VW Polo R-Line was rapid ... " I can show you what we were taught on the Ambulance Car rapid response driving course ... " are not words I want to hear again.
I just kept thinking ... she's got MS ... is 5 foot tall, weighs 8 stone and got what's left in my life in her hands ...
Will be a sad day when they no longer make cars like yours, electric is all well and good, but without that exhaust sound, all pretty soul-less

It's fantastic handling-wise yes! The suspension is adaptive suspension, firm when you need it but over rough roads is better than the soft suspension on my 2019 Cooper S, not sure how they did that, very clever. It does torque-steer quite a lot. An advanced ex police driver I follow on YouTube has one and he says it's a car you have to grab by the scruff of the neck which I think describes it really well.
I know you already do but you can really trust people who did advanced driving courses for their job like the one your daughter did, they know when to push a car and when not to. I'd feel safer doing 120mph with someone like that than doing 60mph with someone who doesn't care about driving.
MPG-wise it's currently doing 33.5 which is exactly the same as my 2002 (BMW) Mini Cooper. That was a 1.6 naturally aspirated engine with 115bhp. So this has exactly double the power and returns the same MPG. Shows how we have progressed in 20 years!!1 -
Absolutely love this car @66Mustang not seen one the same round here yet.
