LCWRA

Hi I was recently awarded LCWRA and was informed my money would be going up too. My statement this morning doesn't reflect that. I may be jumping the gun a smidge here, though. I had my assessment last Tuesday and found out the next day my award. Is it wishful thinking to think they would have sorted my payments out that quickly?
How long does it take to get backdated money to you??
Thanks

There's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is then from the 4th month after you first reported your health condition/provided your first fit note. Payment is then made at the end of that 4th month. The LCWRA element isn't paid at all during the waiting period. What it's paid from will depend on the answer to the following questions..What date exactly did you report your health condition/provide your first fit note? What date do you usually receive your money each month?I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

My sick note went in on June 14 and I get my money 15th of every month. I was only awarded this last week but thought any money owed might have gone onto this month's payment...

Thanks for that information. If 14th June was the same date you reported your health condition then based on the information you gave your waiting period will be as follows.Fit note provided 14th June.. which doesn't count because you provided it in the middle of an assessment period.July/Aug, Aug/Sept, Sept/Oct... LCWRA starts from assessment period 8th Oct to 7th November and first payment will be 14th November. No LCWRA element is owed.If you didn't previously have the work allowance and you or a partner were receiving earnings then you will be owed some money for that.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
