I was born in 1955 with bilateral hip displaysia. When I started to walk it was found that I had this problem. I was put in plaster. Further along I have had a right hip osteotomy in 1989, a right hip resurfacing in 2000 and a left hip resurfacing in 2004 both of which are metal on metal implants.
I am having a lot of pain at the moment in my hips and back and wanted to ask if anyone can relate to my story and what their thoughts would be going on.
Thanks for reading my thread.

I'm sorry to hear you're in a lot of pain. Unfortunately, we are not medical professionals here so we won't be able to give you any medical advice. It's also against the rules of the forum.I'd advise you to speak to your GP if you have any concerns.0

Hello Yak55....
I'm sorry to hear the amount of pain you are in but I really can sympathise with you. I wasn't born with my disability and was infact rather fit and mobile. I was a police officer (a job I loved) and I played Rugby, Badminton, Golf (badly but I tried) and so on. I then damaged my back after an accident and following a slipped disc, a couple of operations and an implant things have deteriorated. Anyway, life now is whatever the level of pain is on any given day. It is worse when it is damp/raining, so today, I am really struggling. Anyway, as much as my life is pain, I only have to watch or listen to the news to realise how easy my life is compared to others
Anyway, I'm sorry if I have rambled a bit but take care of yourself and should you ever want a chat or a laugh there is always someone on these pages who I have no doubt would be willing to talk.

Hi there @yak55 and welcome to the community!
I'm so sorry to hear you're in pain, something I think a lot of us here can relate to. As Poppy has said, we can't give medical advice, but we can offer support and a friendly ear if you need it.
I'll just move your post to another category so more people in the know will see it.0
