Good afternoon, please could you be of any help regarding this matter?
My LCWRA was approved 28th September.
My first fit note was dated 08/06/23 and I didn't report the change on the UC website until 09/06/23, also the sick note was backdated to 01/06/23. I understand it's 13 weeks from the day I reported the change which takes me to 08/09/23.  My assessment period is 6th-5th every month, so have I missed out on a whole months payment for the sake of 3 days? Or will this part month be backdated?

Many thanks

LCWRA is part of UC and for this it's not 13 weeks, this applies to ESA only. For UC the waiting period is 3 full assessment periods and the extra money is paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition/sent your first fit note. It's then paid at the end of the 4th month because UC is paid 1 month in arrears.

Based on the information you provided your waiting period will be July/Aug, Aug/Sept, Sept/Oct... LCWRA starts from AP 6th Oct to 5th November and first payment will be 12th November.

The reason why the June/July AP doesn't count is because you didn't report your health condition at the start of the period. It will be down to a decision maker to make the final decision. Usually they do not accept backdated fit notes and usually it's from the date you reported it, not the date on the actual fit note.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
