Unfortunately it's like asking how long is a piece of string. There's no timescales, some people wait just a short time for an assessment and other wait several months, maybe longer.

woodbine said:As poppy rightly says we don't know, it depends how busy they are in your area and can take several months, what is your existing award?0

Were you aware that a diagnosis or a worsening of condition doesn't automatically entitle you to more points for a higher award?Whether it's possible to score more points will really depend on exactly how your conditions affect you against the 12 PIP activities.0

Yes I’m a aware it was my mental health worker that put in for the change of circumstances0

I hope with the new information about how your conditions affect you day to day gets you the amount you're entitled to! Wishing you luck.0

What do I do.Is this for a worsening of conditions? if so, before reporting changes did you have a look at the PIP descriptors to see if it's possible to score more points needed for a higher award? A worsening of condition doesn't automatically entitle you to more points for a higher award. When you receive the form you will need to make sure you fill it in with as much information as possible, without telling your life story. Another assessment is most likely because most people have them.Once a decision is made your award could either stay the same, be increased/decreased or stop completely.1

I will try but my memory is really bad. I have asked for a face to face review cause I will forget a lot.0

Sorry, I've not looked at anything. I was advised by the hospital to inform pip of my circumstances & then take it from there. It's hard & especially when on your own. Don't think I'm out for pitty cause I know that there are people in even more devastating situation.0

Citizen Advice have a few advice pages on PIP. That would be the best place to start as you are just looking into everything. They also have advisors that can support1 -
