What I mean is once I’ve been to the post office is that my car taxed0

You need to take all of your documents to the post office, including the certificate of entitlement. Your vehicle will then be taxed, so you can use it and they will send off the V5C (logbook) to DVLA so that the taxation class can be changed to disabled. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1143399/ins216-how-to-apply-for-free-disabled-tax-pdf.pdf

Hello DD91
In early August, I became eligible for enhanced mobility. My annual road tax, renewal date was 01 September 2023. I visited the post office with my award letter and current logbook, a few weeks later I received the updated logbook.
Despite my vehicle now being registered exempt from tax, I still received a tax renewal reminder, which left me uncertain about the process. To clarify, I accessed the DVLA website and found that my vehicle had been taxed until 01 August 2024, deviating from the usual annual renewal date of 01 September.
Looking ahead, it seems I will still need to apply for vehicle tax online next year. It appears that the automatic tax renewal feature is limited to the initial adjustment, after that date, you must apply online annually for your road tax, without the need for the annual payment.

Poppy, I apologise for the inaccuracies in my previous post. You are absolutely correct.
Upon a closer look at my car documents, I realised that the document I mentioned earlier was not the award letter; it was, in fact, the Certificate of Entitlement to Personal Independence Payment, complete with its own unique serial number.
The certificate also includes a note that emphasises the importance of keeping it safe because it will be required for the annual renewal of your vehicle tax

No worries at all. Yes, you will need to keep it. The only time you will need to get a new one is if you change your vehicle and then you'll need to ring PIP to ask them to send you another Cetificate of Entitlement.
