PIP MR

I had a previous award of Enhanced Daily Living and Enhanced Mobility.
Completed my PIP review and awaited assessment.
My assessment didn't happen and was given a paper based assessment.
I hoped this was a good thing... however they have given me standard mobility rather than Enhanced. The report says condition has not improved and the award should remain the same for 3 years but the DM somehow come to the conclusion to give me standard Mobility rather than Enhanced.
I've requested an MR on 25th October 2023, I've received a letter from motorbility saying I have to return my motorbility car on 2nd December because they have been notified by DWP of my award change.
What are the chances of getting a decision for my MR before I have to return the car?
I am hoping once they review my application I will be granted the Enhanced on both again, but it's going to be an absolute nightmare for me if I have to return the car and they change my award after the fact because it will take weeks if not months for a new car.

Does anyone know if there's anything I can do? Or how long MR'S are roughly taking at the moment?

I received a text a couple of days ago from DWP saying:

Update on your PIP claim. You asked us to look at your decision again. We expect to look at your case by 20/12/2023. You do not need to contact us unless your circumstances change. Thank you

Surely it's not taking this long?

Thanks x

Unfortunately it can take anywhere up to 12 weeks to get a decision on a MR, so if the date you've been given is accurate, yours won't take that long. I'd contact Motability to say you're awaiting a decision on your MR to see what they then say.

MR decisions can take anything up to 12 weeks unfortunately. The most likely outcome will be the decision will remain the same. Only 23% of decisions change in the claimants favour but hopefully you will be in that figure. If it doesn't change you can proceed to Tribunal.
