Hey @Jon7777777, I've not had that specific example but my decision letter was full of very interesting choices. Despite leaving all budgeting up to my partner I didn't receive a single point in managing finances.

Remember, although it says you have only a month you do have time to sit down and sort out your MR (Mandatory Reconsideration), as long as it's submitted within 13 months it can still be considered. We recommend writing a letter, you need to put where and why you think you should have scored points when you were not awarded them. Include real-life examples. Detailed, actual examples of times you struggled with the task, issues you faced and consequences that happened.

I'm in the middle of writing up my own MR now actually.

I've seen from the more knowledgeable people here you should hope for about half an A4 page per descriptor if possible.

Thank you, hopefully you will be accepted, I have put my reconsideration in should of got 12 points, but am not going to go  threw everything as its not about how much benefit I receive I just want to be accepted my health condition effects my daily life, with getting 4 points and only need 8 that's all I want, kept it short and straight to the point, I don't take any medication for eating disorder and that's all I need to prove, so they need to prove I do which is impossible, even if a person did take medication and it helps it's not the fix they will still struggle so confident decision will be changed

I also feel my interview was not in depth, asking a person with 4 health conditions supplying a list of your medication then getting  asked  if your medication helps can't be right you need to go threw each condition as different ones have different treatments

The time to tell them everything about how your conditions affect you was when you filled out the form. There's never usually enough of time to ask about everything during the assessment. The assessment is there to gather more evidence to support your claim.

Did you put the MR request in writing? I wouldn't advise you to ring to request this. You need to tell them exactly where and why you think you should have scored those points.

The most likely outcome of the MR is the decision won't change. Only 23% of them do, which is quite low. There's more success at Tribunal stage, providing you either appear in person or have a telephone/video hearing.

Hi poppy hope u are well, yes everything went in, hence I scored 4 points, but with having 4 health conditions and naming them with all different medications I was asked at interview does my medication help I said yes as it does but my eating disorder is not controlled by medication, hence my reply was medication does not help my eating disorder as I don't take any, hence 0points for prompting is incorrect, see what happens but if tribunal

If you think you should have scored 12 points for daily living then why are you only interested in 8 points? That doesn’t make sense.

I assume they're saying that the standard daily living,  8 poits, will be enough to help them cover costs/expenses. Though they believe they should have scored 12.

That's not what i read here.
with getting 4 points and only need 8 that's all I want, kept it short and straight to the point

I just read that as they want to at least reach the standard rate. Which is 8 points right? They would like at least the standard rate, so need 8 points in daily living to get that standard rate.

Perhaps best if we let Jon clear it up then just back and forthing between ourselves when they know the actual answer ^^

As I am not thinking score 12 points more money,it's not about the benefit  I suppose  if it went to tribunal it's more complicated,  the way it is now I take no medication to help it's down to the dwp to prove I do if I get 8 points that's all am happy with just to be accepted I need help, plus u have to consider if the tribuneral looked at it they themselves could still award 12 points so the less complicated it is the better that's the way I look at it
