Hello I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I did my pip assessment in June, having already been claiming for 2 years prior due to adhd, depression and anxiety so I’m guessing it was another 12 month updated assessment. Anyways giving the information I gave them etc, they phoned me to say I have been awarded daily living part of pip and they needed my bank details she said we would have to come to your house to receive them so I said that’s fine all went smooth I gave her them then 2 weeks later literally 2 weeks I got a letter through the door explaining that they couldn’t award me it with the information I gave them what’s confusing is that the same information I give in the assessment is what they awarded me it with. I just don’t get it!

There's no guarantee that you'll continue with an award after a review decision. What does concern me is that you said they contacted you to ask what your bank details were and then they visited you in your home for those details. I'm a little concerned that they were asking for those when you already had a PIP award in place. Are you sure it was a DWP rep that visited you in your home? Did you ask for ID when they came to your house? For the refusal you can challenge that decision by first requesting the Mandatory Reconsideration. You should put this in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points. You have 1 month from the date of the decision to request this. If you're outside the 1 month timeframe then you will need to give a reason why you didn't request it within the first month.0
