Why would a "capital drop assessor" be involved in my OT help ?
I have not asked for any financial assistance and a council assessor wants to visit me tomorrow

Google says it's to do with working out how much you will need to contribute towards your care.
My guess is you have to contribute more if you have more money.0 -

My guess is you have to contribute more if you have more money. But, apart from an adjustable bed (which I understand came from NHS funds) - so far the council have provided nothing for me !!This woman, came 6 months ago, supposedly to carry out a care needs assessment (which I had asked for) but did not do anything apart from write copious notes during the hour that she was with us. She had asked me all sorts of personal questions and wrote down the answers that I gave to her !If she does the same again today - I intend to make a GDPR request to discover exactly what she was writing.0 -
In case anyone was interestedNo mention was made of any finances during the meetingIt was just being "signed off" by the department1
