Hiya @Carol60 and welcome to the community. How are you on this crisp winters evening?

I can see you've said sick notes, but we're unable to help without more information.  If you want to let us know where you need help, we'll all do our best to support you. :)

If you're wanting to chat or play some games, I recommend checking out our coffee lounge and games room.

Hi, ive been sending sick notes in, for over, 12 months now, i filled in a uc form in, back in april, i think it was, the assessment, came back, that they felt, i could do more hours, than what, i was already doing, i gave up one job, because, it affected my joints, they swelled up, it was a mutual decision, from my employer, that i wasn't fit to do the job any more, i had sick for about 12 months, i was finding a struggle, i had been so used to getting up, walking to work, coming home, then walking back, to do my next job, i could feel myself sinking into a black hole, i became very low, to the point, if not wanting to get out of bed, get dressed etc, so i asked my doctor, if i could just do, my lunchtime job, as this wasn't strenuous on my joints, it helped my mental health no end, i was happy to be back, ive never been afraid of hard work, but unfortunately, it took its toll, ive continued doing this, and still sent sick notes in, they asked me if i could make my hours up to 10,hours a week, then i got a phone call recently, to tell me not to send no more sick notes in, unless there's something else wrong with me plus, now they want me to do 16 hours a week, my doctors, have supported me through out, all this time, and as issued me with another sick note, but  have an appointment, next week, and worried they are going to refuse it, my blood pressure has gone up, because of all the stress its putting on my body, im in my sixties, im in pain on daily basis, what can i do,

It sounds like to me that you've had your work capability assessment and they've decided that you're fit for work, is that correct? If so then you can challenge that decision by first requesting the Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR) You can do this on your journal, assuming you have access to one. You need to state whether you think you should have been found to have either LCW or LCWRA and your reasons why.

Before doing anything else you need to have a look at the descriptors for each of the above (if you haven't already) and see which group you think you should be placed into. You can see the descriptors here.

They will not accept any further fit notes for the same health condition because you've been found capable of some work.

If you decide to challenge the decision and it doesn't change at MR stage then you can request the Tribunal.
