Hi to everybody , could do with some advice please I've been on PIP  for 3 years i didn't claim for anything else didn't think I could, been suffering badly with depression for long time and met a lady who teaches children with ADHD and she said straight away i had ADHD im 52 now my doc sent me for bereavement councilng, and didn't tell me ,I mentioned it to the councillors and they dismissed it but they didn't mention it wasn't ADHD assessment,  so 4 years later in a conversation my wife was having with another Doctor of mine she said I hadn't had ADHD assessment,  I was on full PIP and that wasn't included in the first 3years ,I've just been reassessed and I told them about 1 of my new conditions and in my score they didn't give me any points for money management, I'm terrible my money goes into my wife's account,as I'm very impulsive ,I also have tenytus badly i didn't realise what it was .should I have been awarded points for these , sorry for going on )
Cheers  Stu

Ye I also suffer with austio arthritis I've had both hips replaced and I'm waiting on knees also my elbow and fingers.. but I've suffered with depression and didn't realise, had few traumatic events  ,was at Hillsborough and lost mum late teens lost am eye at 21 and my dad got cancer and that was a tipping point for me I've just bounced back before, bit really struggled since dad passed away,  finding out about the Adhd had really helped me ,making sense of some events ,and I thought mental health was a part of PIP ,cheers for replying appreciate it Stu

    Hello @stu71

    Welcome to the community! :)

I'm so sorry to hear you've been through so much. As Woodbine has said, I hope the community can be a placed of support for you. Can I ask, do you receive support with your mental health? I'm glad getting your ADHD diagnosis has helped so much <3
