PIP review what to expect?

Hi all hope everyone had a nice Xmas day.
I've just had my text message yesterday! telling me I'm up for my first pip review & I'm worried about it.
I was diagnosed with cancer & a brain tumour 5 years ago, 3 years ago I had to give up working due to constant chronic fatigue mainly from my brain tumour. I applied for PIP which was an ordeal as I imagine everyone on here knows who has applied. I ended up going to tribunal which took a year & was awarded lower rate on mobility & daily living.
I'm concerned now as my pip was awarded due to the tribunal that they will again decide I'm not eligible for it & refuse my review. How does it work will I probably have to go through a tribunal again if they decline my application I'm so worried, I can't work at all which affects my mental health on top of my daily physical disability I'm so concerned Im going to now struggle financially as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Those text messages are automatically generated but how kind of them to continue to send them on Christmas day.. not!You will receive the form within the next couple of weeks. You should treat it as a new claim and put as much relevant information as possible. Also include a couple of real world incidents of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you.Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were. Please also be aware that PIP is not about your ability to work or about a diagnosis. Just because you had to take it to Tribunal last time, doesn't mean you'll need to do the same again, providing you give enough relevant information.Once you receive the form you can ring PIP to ask them to extend the time to return it and they will give an extra couple of weeks. Please also be aware that waiting times for decisions for reviews can be rather long and we have some members that have been waiting a year for a decision.1

Thank you for such an in depth response & explanation that helps me a lot I didn't know about the examples I needed to put even with my citizen advice Macmillan support worker helping me do the tribunal appeal.
Yes I agree they are on the ball with the text message on Christmas day ha ha but I did realise it's obviously auto generated by their system0 -
I have read your post again Poppy and also others you have left advising people not to put no change on some of the questions. I have just drafted my review form on my laptop. I spoke to PIP on Monday requesting an extension of the time due to my form not arriving for 2 weeks. But what is puzzling is the pip worker over the phone told me to put no change when I asked him about filling in the form for any parts that hadn't changed I'm now in two minds about what to write for some of the answers I have had some changes but for other descriptors I haven't0

Hi @Losingallhope, I can understand the confusion, but Poppy is definitely right here. The people who take your calls tend not to be trained in assessments etc, they're just working in the call centre, so you have to take what they say with a big pinch of salt. It's much better to class this as a new claim.1

Please bear in mind that when you ring any DWP department you're speaking to someone from a call centre, not to someone from DWP itself. Very often they give some terrible advice, which should always be taken with a very large pinch of salt.

I agree they do I just don't know how they can get away with it but that's our system I suppose Jo public are always the ones who suffer0

I had my telephone review on November 30 and just received my report. I think the 'nurse' wasn't even listening to me because everything came back the same as my first assessment. So I've lost 9 points in the daily living component taking me down to 10 points and lost my mobility award. I've filled in the form for the MR but I have to wait for the letter before I send it out. One thing for sure is that winning at the tribunal wasn't counted so I'm very disappointed but ready to fight again.1
