Do you all have a roast for new years day? I've given my family 3 choices, lamb roast, lamb slow cooked stew or pulled lamb burgers. They went with the pulled lamb burgers. I think it's tradition to have a roast, but what will be on your plate?

Sounds delicious @Sandy_123!
In my family we would often have a roast on New Year's Day, but since I met my partner and our anniversary is around that time, we'll often spend new years day as just the two of us now. We tend to order a takeaway and watch a film and just keep it nice and casual. Or sometimes we just get snacky bits to pick at as that's one of my favourite types of meals anyway! Not very traditional but traditional for us1 -
Sounds good too @Rosie_Scope it is what you make it at the end of the day. Happy anniversary for new years2

@Rosie_Scope Happy anniversary for the new year!
@Sandy_123 I usually do something like a takeaway or nibbles tea as I usually have work the following day so I don't want too much washing up but I might have a roast this year! If I do I might have gammon2 -
Lamb roast is my favourite I must admit, but any roast I guess. Gonna feel weird having burgers and fries.1

We have a beef roast on New Years Day. We tend to have lamb around Easter, unless it's too expensive like this year and we have turkey again1

Sainsburys have been doing whole legs for half price with nectar not sure if offer is still on.3

Ooo thank you! Will be telling my grandma too as she has a huge chest freezer.1

*Pulls up outside Woodbine's house New Years Eve*
Sounds lovely!2 -
I love pate but mainly salmon or mushroom. It's not something I buy often1

woodbine said:We've invited a neighbour round New Years eve otherwise she would be alone, planning a three course meal if we are both feeling better. Pate followed by Pork and all the trimmings then cheese and biscuits.
New Years day it will be something simple .
Pate is one of my favourite foods ... except for cheese... And pig is my favourite roast ... prefer gammon but pork will do just fine2 -
Whatever falls out of the freezer on my foot, hopefully a little beef roast that I can roti in the air fryer. That happened a couple of weeks ago & I know the other half is in there somewhere.1
