We had roast beef, mum kindly bought us a nice joint for xmas.  A slightly odd xmas gift, but a delicious one.

It really was!  Sis makes a mean roast anyway, I could happily just eat the roasties and gravy though.

Haha @JessieJ love it, hope it rolls out.

The beef is still in there somewhere, so my foot survived. I had a duck breast quarter instead, I bought a duck on NYE, quartered then froze 3 future meals. Very nice it was too! Happy New Year!

Happy new year @JessieJ I've only ever tried duck in a Chinese restaurant, I've  never cooked it before. Been told its a fatty meat. Hopefully the beef will roll it self out 1 day, without landing on your foot.

    Thank you, @Sandy_123
It can be fatty, but you can cook it out. The actual meat is lean & tasty. If you don't mind some fat, the skin can be really good & crispy. Like it comes out at a Chinese restaurant really. Cheers, I'm sure that beef will make an appearance, hopefully missing me. Should invent a guard & catcher device. ;)

Lol it would be a good idea to have a guard. My freezer now looking less full after Xmas, but will run it down and I might even attemp to defrost it at some point. Not a job I do often as I don't bend well. Who knows what's lurking in there lol
